Responsibilities
Agents in a Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting (CIAR) course offered by the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) program of the U.S. Military.
This project was developed in conjunction with a colleague, Stephanie Gillespie.
OVERVIEW
Problem
Agents in a Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting (CIAR) course were tasked with creating a visual aide to leave with the companies and agencies they oversee. My partner for this project, a CIAR course instructor with first-hand knowledge, realized that these visual aides were not effective because agents had little to no experience in graphic design nor the development of instructional aides.
Solution
Closing the learning gap we developed a course that provided additional instruction and guidance on the assignment and that tackled the graphic design knowledge deficit of agents. This course was developed to be semi-self-paced with the agents able to work through the material at their own speed, while developing their visual aide within the confines of the course deadlines. Multiple instructional methods were used including videos, visual diagrams, interactive activities, and quizzes. Pre and post-course surveys were developed to track knowledge gains and to assist with future iterations of the course.

It is important to note that this course was developed in Rise 360, but if it was to be implemented officially in a JKO course it would have to be re-developed inside of the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) LMS to comply with regulations and requirements of the U.S. military.
My Role
Throughout the development of this course my partner and I collaborated and distributed the work throughout. My focus was on the development of the graphic design module, my partner focused on the specifics of the assignment given to agents as she has the military background and is an instructor in the course. My specific contributions to the design document and course are as follows:
