goal statement

I aspire to transition from higher education to the role of an instructional designer in the corporate sector. Along with a keen eye for graphic design, my knowledge of learning theories, instructional design frameworks, and current instructional design programs will allow me to bring success and data driven results. My experience in higher education and presenting for professional associations has prepared me to bring charisma, knowledge, and a passion for instruction to my future role.

Proficiency with Technology |

The Introduction to Articulate 360 course was developed for beginning IDT students. It highlights my proficiency with Articulate as the development of this course required proficiency with all programs included, specifically, Rise, Storyline, and Studio. Additionally, I used Camtasia to create the videos within the course.  Summative assessments aligned with learning objectives for each module were developed to ensure learners could utilize the programs independently after completion of the course.

The target audience for Always Watching, Always Reporting was agents in the Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting course through Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) from the U.S. Military. This course was developed after a needs analysis and follows the design theories of Kemp along with Keller's ARCs model. A comprehensive Rise 360 course was created, demonstrating my proficiency in using Rise as a course platform, and formative and summative assessments were developed to guide iterative updates.

(ED)ucate was developed to provide education on eating disorders to medical students as they enter their clinical rotations. This project follows the guidance of adult learning theory and Gangé's Nine Events of Instruction. The planning document details how this course would be developed in full, showcasing how I would solve a knowledge gap stemming from an instructional deficit. The initial module utilizes a number of instructional programs including Powtoon, Camtasia and AI text-to-speech. H5P was used to develop the summative evaluation and a Wix website was created as the host platform. 

Technical Writing & Job Aide Development |

These job aides were developed as part of my internship with the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. In addition to creating course content presenter guides were developed for session to ensure presenters were confident and clear on the material they were teaching. The effectiveness of these job aides was demonstrated in positive reviews from the sessions and feedback from participants in the conference.
